Lagoon Life Computers was founded by it’s owner, Rob, in Cape Town in 1999. Rob came from a background in programming and holds a National Diploma in Computer Data Processing that he earned during his 3 years of study at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. After several years in the corporate world of IT, Rob decided to go it alone and setup his own computer consultancy, offering IT services and training for the Small Office/Home Office market.
A lifestyle change led Rob and his young family to the West Coast town of Langebaan, nestled on the banks of the picturesque Langebaan Lagoon. He renamed his business to Lagoon Life Computers and has been successfully assisting the SOHO market in Langebaan for the last 20 years. He is also passionate about the great outdoors, sports-mad and socially involved. He channels a lot of his resources into a social upliftment paddling program that he started 16 years ago in which he trains previously disadvantaged kids on how to be safe on the water and to learn to paddle on the protected waters of the lagoon. To date hundreds of youngsters have passed through his program.
